POSTER DESIGN

I've been designing concert flyers and gig posters for over 30 years now and it never gets boring. I love music and love going to shows. I started seeing all-ages gigs at the infamous Rats Nest in 1986 and it changed my life. The rawness of the artwork on the posters was always an indicator of how crazy the show would be. I decided early on, if the poster is awesome, the show will be too. So, that's how I look at designing these things. You should be able to tell what kind of event it is from over 50 feet away. Big, bold, images with lots of fun little additional elements to keep people looking and discovery new things thet like about the art.
